Monday night sessions are often tough so requires you to be ready and willing to get the most out of your session. Often sessions have a minimum 1 mile warm up/warm down at various locations around Morpeth and so it's vitally important you all:
Stay together Wear bright reflective clothing Bring warm clothes (hat/gloves in winter) Pay attention to the roads....and the coach! As the group is aimed at kids competing or preparing for competition I want you all to think about your goals and how you can improve while having fun at the same time. Running 1 night a week on a Monday is not enough to build towards competitions so would suggest where possible to consider sessions such as the below. Without additional steady running/alternative exercise I don't feel you will be getting the most of your training to then get the most out of your competitions at a weekend. Wednesday/Thursday - 20 minutes steady run (5-10 strides between lampposts (80% effort) Saturday - Competition or if not then (3 x 4 minute efforts with 2mins recovery. (ideally on grass) followed by some strides I'm happy to provide any session plans for you all - just speak to me on a Monday or contact me below. |
