![]() Posting a finishing time of 51m44s, Morpeth Harrier Ady Whitwam finished 23rd in a top class field that assembled for the Morrisons sponsored Great South 10 Mile Run in Portsmouth, on Sunday 25th October 2015. It was a brand new personal best for the Shropshire based Army Major, whose previous best at the distance had been 52m52s, which he had set in December 2014 at Bloxwich in the Sneyd Striders Christmas Pudding event. Running very even paced throughout, Whitwam was tenth Briton in a field which included the younger Ryan McLeod of Tipton Harriers, formerly with Elswick Harriers, who finished 13th in 48m20s. Whitwam was also the first Over 35 Male finisher, which pleased him immensely, and he feels that he is in the right level of form as the major winter championships loom, including the Masters Home International in Dublin next month.
