About us

Picture
Morpeth Harriers Club President Jim Alder claims gold in the 1966 Commonwealth Games - one of the most famous moments in the club's illustrious history

WHO ARE WE ?
We are one of the leading athletic clubs in the North of England. Founded in 1946 our roots are in cross country and road running  and we have won many titles and medals (both team and individual) at Northern and National Championships. However, we now have a synthetic track at KEVI School, Morpeth, enabling us to provide training facilities, coaching and competitive  opportunities for track and fields athletes too.

Although we have major games medallists and many county representatives within our ranks, we don't just cater for the elite.
There are lots of local events that everyone can take part in, whatever their standard - Harrier League cross country races, road races, and grass roots track and field meetings. We also host our own events, including an annual 10k race in August and New Year's Day race.
