BEN HARDING IN SUPERB 800m FORM AT FINAL NORTH EAST MASTERS MEETING

Stepping up in distance was no hardship to Morpeth Harriers sprint specialist Ben Harding at the sixth and final North East Masters Track and Field meeting for 2026, held at Jarrow’s Monkton Stadium on the evening of Monday 3rd August.
Harding finished third in the fastest of eight 800m events, making third fastest overall, and fastest in his Over 55 Veteran category.
It was his first ever venture to the two-lap event, and his posting of a time of 2m17.2s was an excellent outcome as a fitting finale to his summer track season.
