Three members of Morpeth Harriers & AC faced the starter in the annual prestigious Valencia Half Marathon on Sunday 25th October.
First of the trio to finish was Under 23 athlete Chris Coulson, who posted an excellent personal best time of 62m52s, when finishing 48th.
He was also an agonising eight seconds adrift of Nick McCormick’s long standing Club Record, which was achieved in the Great North Run in 2012, where he finished ninth behind Wilson Kipsang of Kenya.
Coulson was also third in the Under 23 Men’s category.
Other Morpeth Harriers finishers were Carl Avery (100th) (2nd O/40 Man) 65m11s, and Finn Brodie (106th) 65m22s.
It was a new personal best for Brodie at the distance.
The event had a total of 25,500 finishers.
Coulson was third home from Great Britain, and Avery and Brodie were eighth and ninth, respectively.
