Posting a time of 12.11s, Morpeth Harrier Trevor Hodgson convincingly won the Over 50 Veteran Men’s title, and the Gold Medal for the 100m at the annual NEMAA Track & Field Championships, held at Jarrow’s Monkton Stadium, now known as the Steve Cram Stadium, on Saturday 20th June.
Hodgson went on to add the 200m title to his successful days work, also posting an excellent time of 24.46s, winning by over two seconds from his closest rival Denis Pang of North Shields Poly.
