NEGP 4 announcement
Please read carefully
Because we are expecting a large number of no-shows on Wednesday (due to a certain other sporting event
taking place on the same evening), we are asking track athletes to go to the holding area at the following times, to allow reseeding of the races to give us fully populated heats, which will in turn allow us to vacate the stadium as quickly as possible:-
All hurdlers 18:15
All 200m athletes 18:25
All 3,000m athletes 19:00
All 800m athletes 19:40
If you don't yet have a bib, arrive in plenty of time to collect your number and don't forget to bring safety pins! (If you competed in last month's NEGP, you'll already have your bib and you don't need to register again). When you arrive at the registration desk (either behind the clubhouse on the concrete platform, near to the 100m start, or at the back of the stands), give your name and your bib number (this can be found on Roster, just search for your name to see your event time, which pool or heat you're in and your bib number). Check the start lists on the day of competition to make sure you are still in the same heat/pool in case of any last minute changes.
Track athlete info
Start lists which show heat letters and times for each heat are on Roster HERE. Roster Athletics · NEGP 4 2026
Please use Roster to check for any last minute updates. You must be at the holding area at the times given above.
Track athletes are requested to drop off their blocks at the start area of their event BEFORE reporting to the holding area. Track athletes are also required to report to the holding area READY To Race (tracksuits etc off).
Races will not be delayed for athletes arriving late at the holding area or just turning up at the start without going through the holding area.
Field athlete info
Timetable info is on Roster HERE -Roster Athletics · NEGP 4 2026
these may be updated on the day itself (though unlikely to change much), please check carefully as near as possible to your event time. Second pool (B) athletes should listen carefully to announcements on the night as we are unable to give an exact time for them to start - if possible, Roster will be updated with times as we go, but only if I have the information on the evening!
Please note, High Jump athletes should report 40 minutes before the event. Other field athletes should report to the holding area at least 20 minutes before their event. Pool A events and High Jump will start at 7pm. Pool B events are likely to start around 7.45 - 8pm, but listen carefully for announcements on the night. Every effort has been made to avoid clashes by placing athletes in the appropriate pools, but in the case of the high jump, clashes may be unavoidable if you have an early race.
