Northumberland and Durham Schools have now fully selected their respective teams
to represent them at the annual English Schools Cross Country Championships, which are scheduled to be held at Wollaton Park in Nottingham, on Saturday 5th March 2016. Several Morpeth Harriers feature amongst the selections. Joe Armstrong, who attends Durham Central School, is selected to run in the Senior Boys event for Durham. In opposition to him in that event, will be fellow Morpeth Harriers Scott Beattie, Nathan Cox, James Young, and Adam Gibbs, who will all run for Northumberland. Kieran Hedley, Rory Leonard, Taylor Glover, and Adam Shewry have all won selection to run for Northumberland in the Intermediate Boys event. In the Junior Boys event, Northumberland Champion, and North Eastern Counties Under 15 Boys Silver Medallist Daniel Dixon is selected, along with fellow Morpeth Harriers Ross Charlton and Daniel Melling. Charlotte Jewell and Abby Sheldon are in the Northumberland Senior Girls squad, and Holly Peck, Lily Heaton and Ellie Coxon are all included in the county’s Junior Girls squad. The only age group not to include a Morpeth Harrier in their line-up, are the Intermediate Girls. Comments are closed.
