![]() Just over 48 hours after running one of the fastest times for Morpeth Harriers Over 35 Men at the British Masters National Road Relays, at Sutton Park, Sutton Coldfield, Chris Smith was in track action at the opening North East Masters Track and Field League at Jarrow on Monday 16th May. He won the 3000m A race in a time of 8m52.9s. Another Morpeth Harrier in action in this was Gavin Bayne, who was 23rd in 11m46.4s, and was second Over 60 Man. The 3000m B race saw Morpeth’s Archie Jenkins finish in 19th place in 13m29.1s. Wayne Gedge of Morpeth finished eighth in the A race of the 100m in a time of 13.6s. Morpeth had North Eastern Bronze medallist Steven Appleby taking part in the Discus, where he threw a best of 32.84m. Comments are closed.
