TRACK REPORTS

Some speedy times including a number of pbs recorded by members of the club in
recent races.

Scott Beattie recorded an impressive pb of 3 minutes 58.6 seconds at the University of
Birmingham Track and Festival on the 7 th July.

On the evening of the 12 th , Alex Brown won the 1500m B race at the BMC Trafford
Gold Standard meeting with a pb time of 3:50.37 (which would also have placed him
8 th in the A race). In the same race, Phil Winkler clocked a pb of 3:52.30 in 5 th place.

Finally, Saturday’s Adizero Distance Project Series of races continued at Barrowford
in Lancashire with distances from one Mile to the Half Marathon.

Ali Douglas was 4 th in the Mile in a time of 4 minutes 26 seconds in a race won by
Sunderland Harrier Michael Wilson in 4:14.

In the 5k B race, Richard Johnson was 6 th in 15:45, while Carl Avery was also 5 th in
the Half Marathon in a time of 1:07:17.
